Blogathon: Movies of 1939

If you are a classic movie fan, you surely know that 1939 was a monumental year in Hollywood. Gone with the Wind won Best Picture, Judy Garland found her place in history starring in The Wizard of Oz and Jimmy Stewart as Mr. Smith went to Washington.

The Classic Movie Blog Association is sponsoring a “Movies of 1939” blogathon produced by Becky and Page from Classic Becky’s Brain Food and My Love of Old Hollywood, respectively, between May 15 and 17. I will be reviewing Bette Davis’ The Old Maid May 17 but there are 36 bloggers covering 41 films during those days, so be sure to take a look.
